Baby & Toddler Photographer
Baby PhotographerYour Baby will change so much in the first 12 months of their life that its never too early to start taking their picture and there is almost no such thing as too often! As a professional baby photographer I deliver beautiful contemporary portraits of your baby and family that you will want to display and be proud of for years to come. My studio is large enough to provide enough space to photograph not only your baby, but you, your partner and other children for a special family portrait you will always cherish. The SessionAlthough most shoots can be done in 30 minutes or less, I allocate up to an hour for a baby photography session, just in case your baby needs a feed, change, or just arrives in a grumpy mood! Parent participation is encouraged, you know your baby better than anybody and generally its great fun while we all jump around in order to get your little one to smile! Some of the best shots also include Mum and Dad, even if you normally hate having your picture taken, a portrait with your baby will be cherished forever. What happens Next? After the session I select 20-40 of the best images to display, then work on those images to further enhance them. A few days after the portrait session we arrange a viewing session where you come back to the studio in order to view the images at full size on a digital projector. I don't do hard sell, I let the pictures do that! I simply show you a small slideshow of images then run through each one and you tell me whether you want it or not. Once we have a list of the images you want you then need to choose the size and format of the image, from 6"x4" to 30"x20", from simple prints through to canvasses and designer frames. Trouble Tots!Sometimes a baby or small child just doesn't want to play ball. The trick is stay calm and keep having fun, it's expected that your little one may not co-operate. Forcing a situation or trying to get a child to do something they have decided they don't want to do is rarely productive. Nothing kills genuine smiles faster than a parent telling a child to stop, sit down and behave. If your little one isn't playing along, the best way to deal with them is play and distraction which always produces genuine smiles and laughter. PricingPlease select studio portrait prices from the menu above. The StudioMy studio is based in Farnborough, Hampshire, close to Camberley, Yately, Fleet and Basingstoke right on the borders of Berkshire and Surrey. Working from home gives me great flexibility and so I'm also available evenings, Saturday and Sundays, including bank holidays. This isn't a chain store operation, I run an old fashioned owner managed business with all the personal service and individuality that implies. Gift VouchersGift vouchers are available for those who wish to buy a portrait session for a friend or member of the family. Studio sessions are a very popular gift for new mums and make a fantastic present that will truly last forever. What to Wear and BringParents, avoid ultra fashionable clothing which may date quickly. Remember paisley and fly away collars? As these go out of fashion they can make your pictures look dated very quickly, go for timeless classics, jeans and a casual top always look great for an informal photograph. Avoid Patterns, stripes, spots and large logos. Solid blocks of colour generally work best, but avoid White clothing as we often use a White Background! If you would like to be photographed together as a group, it's often best to wear colours of a similar tone. Different colours are fine, but where one person's colours are much brighter, they detract attention from the others. For babies who can sit and toddles, a hooded dressing gown or towel can make for a lovely picture. A favourite toy can be useful as a prop, as can the child's favourite comforter, be that a muslin, blanket or dummy. Although these may be undesirable in the photograph, they can really save the session if your little one decided to have a melt down! Frames, Prints and CanvassesI do supply a good range of gallery quality frames in a number of frame mouldings, sizes and colours. All my frames are made individually to order so each can be customised with different mount options, even specialised types of glass such as conservation and anti-glare! You simply won't find frames like these in the shops. Also popular are canvasses stretched over a wooden frame which can be supplied in a number of sizes. For those wishing simple prints and to supply your own frames, you are also catered for with a range of print only packages and individual prints. |
