I'm a big fan of Bury court barn. It's one of those venues I always look forward to working in.
The first thing you notice about this wedding venue are the grounds, they are immaculately maintained and really very beautiful offering plenty nooks and crannies for smaller groups and couple shots that help keep the backgrounds interesting.
Of real bonus to couples with elderly or disabled guests is that the grounds are easily accessible and wheelchair users should have no problem accessing the grounds.
Inside the venue is large yet cosy, it's essentially one large open space that can be sectioned off with a heavy curtain. There is enough room inside for groups should it rain and on the whole it gives a lovely warm feeling.
What I particularly like about this venue is that despite having plenty of space it feels compact and welcoming, weddings always seem to feel relaxed here which I'm sure is something to do with the way the venue is laid out and run by the organisers.
There is a little flat attached to the venue which can be used by the bride the night before and there are some great photo opportunities in there too.
The only downside to this venue is that there is little choice for larger groups as the garden is sectioned off with various features, although there is certainly space for them and those sections do make for interesting backdrops and variety for couple and smaller groups.
