Camberley Heath Golf Club, Wedding Venue ReviewCamberley Heath Golf ClubGolf Drive Surrey All wedding venue reviews are completely independent by Brian Parkes LSWPP, a specialist wedding photographer covering Surrey, Berkshire and Surrey. Camberley Heath Golf Club is a lovely little venue tucked away in Camberley, Surrey. As you would expect for a golf course, the grounds are extensive, more importantly the quality and variety of the grounds immediately adjacent to the club are fantastic. It's a great choice for a summer wedding. Immediately outside there is a well cared for lawn with a good tree line as a backdrop. After a few hundred yards the lawn gives way to a pretty woodland which has some great photographic potential and here you will also find a large ornamental pond, just be aware of flying golf balls by the pond! Next to the pond a large willow provides a great backdrop and this is a great location to spend a few minutes taking shots of you both. Heading back towards the venue an outdoor set of steps leads up to a pretty balcony area that is a great palce for guests to mingle before the wedding breakfast. The height this balcony provides also makes a great spot to shoot an aerial photograph of the entire wedding party on the lawn below. The function room is incredibly well lit with natural daylight thanks to the large windows that run the entire width of the wall and look out onto grounds below. While providing light, this window does mean the speeches are backlit if the top table is placed in front of this window, this particular problem can be easily worked around. As with all venues, a wet wedding plan should be agreed before booking to ensure the venue can provide you with enough space to shoot groups inside in the event of poor weather. I like this venue, clean, light and airy, on my visit the staff were incredibly helpful and organised and the bride and groom had a wonderful time. It's one of those venues I would be happy to return to again and again. |
