Tylney Hall, Wedding Venue Review
Tylney HallRotherwick Hook Hampshire England United Kingdom RG27 9AZ
All wedding venue reviews are written by Brian Parkes LSWPP, a wedding photographer based in Hampshire who covers venue. Tlyney Hall is one of those venues that are absolutely stunning and one I really enjoy working at. What sets Tylney hall apart from other venues is the way it portrays two separate yet entirely convincing personas. The exterior and Interior is pure English manor house yet somehow they have very sympathetically managed to add modern hotel features such as an indoor swimming pool. The grounds at Tlyney are among the very best I've come across and are landscaped on several levels. The grounds contain a number of features that simply scream out to be used as backdrops, including a lake, woodland area and open fields. I particularly enjoy the sunken garden and this deserves a special mention. The lawn is is beautifully manicured and all flower beds very well maintained. The garden is contained within rustic brick walls that make a wonderful backdrop in their own right, particulary the area leading out to the rest of the grounds which comprises of a set of wide stone steps that is just perfect for photographs. At the rear the garden is seperated from the rest of the grounds by a feature hedgerow which also makes for another impressive backdrop. The garden also contains a water fountain feature. Photographically the venue is breathtaking, from my own point of view the challenge is not to find beautiful backdrops and areas in which to work because you simply can't move fo them, it's in not getting carried away and keeping everybody for photographs for too long. It seems such a shame to not have time to use ALL of the grounds! The interior is full of character and English charm. The main banqueting hall is a little on the dark side and is lit predominantly with artificial light, but having recently invested in a specialist low light camera, that is not something that can't be handled with ease. In summary if you have the budget and are looking for a typically 'English' venue then I would have no hesitation in recommending Tlyney hall. It's quite simply one of the most classy, elegant, beautiful and charming wedding venue available. |
