Wedding Photographer Abroad
Wedding Photographer AbroadMany couples from the UK are now choosing to get married abroad and with White sand and sunshine it's easy to see why! Destinations in the Mediterranean such as Cyprus and Malta or Caribbean destinations such as Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, and St Lucia are becoming increasingly popular. The one thing most couples seem a little apprehensive about is their wedding photographer abroad. It's a simple fact that wedding photographers abroad have very different tastes, both in their actual photography and album design. On top of this there can be language and communication problems, not to mention the odd rogue trader and the fact that you are not covered by the UK's consumer protection law. For couples getting married abroad I offer two services, album design and wedding photography at their overseas wedding destination. Album DesignIf your wedding photographer abroad is simply providing you with all of the images on CD I can design a high quality album for you. Please note I can only design and produce your album for you if you have rights to reproduce your images. You must have this in writing from your photographer. Costs are typically around £600 for the design and production of a high quality Graphistudio or Sim2000 book style album. Wedding Photography AbroadI can cover weddings in most European countries and am happy to consider weddings in most other countries. For example I am happy to photograph your wedding in the Med including Cyprus, Malta or Crete. I can also travel to the Caribbean destinations such as Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, or St Lucia. Anywhere else considered. For weddings abroad I charge my standard wedding package prices, plus £75 for each additional day I am travelling and expenses. You are responsible for return flights, transfer to and from the airport, accommodation and venue, plus hotel accommodation. I have been told that even after adding flights and accomodation I can still work out cheaper or comparable with local photographers who will often charge British couples a premium rate if they are English speaking. Sometimes return flights and accommodation can only be bought as a weekly package. Needless to say being 'stuck' in a beautiful location is hardly a chore! In these cases the daily travel fee will rbe educed to £300 for the week or may even be discounted entirely if I'm able to bring along the family at my own expense and use the opportunity to grab a short break. There are a number of practical considerations to take into account when covering a wedding abroad.
Other than that hiring me to travel and cover your wedding abroad is relatively straight forward and simple. As all money transactions take place in the UK, your are protected by UK consumer protection which should also give you some peace of mind.
